1955 - Disneyland Park Opening

Disneyland opens to an anxiously awaiting world on July 17, 1955.... Walt Disney dedicates the Magic Kingdom, declaring, "To all who come to this happy place, welcome festivities broadcast live nationally, with hosts Bob Cummings, Art Linkletter and Ronald Reagan.
