First Rack Installed in ISS Lab
The first system rack has been installed inside the U.S. laboratory module for the International Space Station. The laboratory module is the centerpiece of the International Space Station, where unprecedented science experiments will be performed in the near zero gravity of space. The first rack was installed recently by Boeing technicians in the space station manufacturing building at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

U.S. Marks 2 Years in Space
Astronaut Andy Thomas's mission aboard Mir has given the United States two years of continuous space flight, starting with Shannon Lucid's flight on Mir 21. In that time scientists have learned much about the way humans react to low-gravity environments. The lessons learned aboard Mir will be invaluable to the operation of the International Space Station.
