News briefs: October

The White House has established a Commission On Aviation Safety and Security. The recommendations from this commision may strongly affect general aviation. You may want to follow the commissions recommendations and contact your representatives if you feel that they would adversely affect your flying.

Meigs Airport, the lakeside airport close to Downtown Chicago is being threatened with closure. Please visit the web site of the Friends of Meigs and see what you can do to try to help keep it open. This airport is a very valuable general aviation resource and its closure would set a dangerous precedence. Lets all try to prevent it.

Dr. Guenther Eichhorn has completed an update of all the Landings databases which now are updated through August 1st 1996. See the Search page.

The Add-A-PLANE service allows you to link an image and a full description of your aircraft to the Landings N-Number database.

SITE Service

Starting at $4.16/mo. you can set up a complete Web site using the new Landings SITE SERVICE   The service provides professional graphics and layouts, UNLIMITED CHANGES and UPDATES (with some exceptions), and requires no HTML or FTP. All you need is your browser and the Landings SITE Wizard will guide you through the process.
