Perfect Debut for New Tyrrell Ford Car24 January 1997

The Tyrrell team's
1997 Formula 1 challenger -- the 200 mph Tyrrell Ford 025 fulfilled its
initial promise at Silverstone yesterday (Thursday) when it completed two
days of trouble-free testing. The team's three drivers each sampled the
first 025 car to be built and were delighted with its performance and the
Ford engine. Despite near-freezing weather and poor visibility, the drivers
covered a total of 90 laps of the revised 3.2-mile Grand Prix circuit.
