The Visible Embryo Project was started in an effort to show how a collection of existing histological material, like that comprising the Carnegie Collection of Human Development, could be made useful in modern research. At this site you'll find a sample of five computer generated models to be used as investigative and teaching tools, information on the creation of the models, a prototype database containing a 660 embryo subset from the collection, movies, and samples of various other types of information available from the collection.
