For over 50 years, Ramsey Winch has been working toward one goal...to
meet our customers' needs by providing the toughest, most complete line
of winches in the world.
Since 1945, when Claude Ramsey founded Ramsey Winch, designing and building winches has been our only business. After World War II, Mr. Ramsey observed oil exploration vehicles stuck for hours while waiting for a tow. To answer this need, he developed front mounted crankshaft driven winches that enabled light vehicles to use their own engine power to pull themselves out. Over 50 years later, our strong industrial heritage is evident in the manufacture of our broad line of winches, designed for a variety of industrial applications as well as front mount self-recovery use. Ramsey Winch now manufactures over 150 models with line pull ratings from 2,500 to 100,000 lbs.
